The problem

Screenshots vanish.

You take a screenshot, the preview disappears before you can drag it anywhere, and the file gets lost on a Desktop full of Screenshot 2026-10-08 at 5.41.12 PM.png.

How it works

Snap. Pile. Drop.

  1. The cream instant camera with a rainbow stripe in the corner of the screen, a new print feeding out of its slot with a “Wiggle to develop” hint, above a small pile of earlier prints.
    01

    Snap.

Take a screenshot as usual (⇧ ⌘ 4). A little instant camera in the corner prints it like a Polaroid, feeding it out of the slot. Wiggle the pointer to develop it faster.

  2. Six printed screenshots fanned out in a row with captions like “Trail map”, “Team chat” and “Bug #482”. The lifted one shows a foil shine and a bar of Copy, Copy Text, Open, and Show in Finder buttons.
    02

    Pile.

Prints land on a pile in the corner. Hover to fan them out, newest first, with quick actions on each print.

  3. A neat pile of prints in the corner of the screen. The top print shows a bar chart captioned “Revenue”, with a “6 today” badge underneath.
    03

    Drop.

Drag any print into Slack, Mail, Figma, or Finder. Double-click to open it.

Features

Small app. Lots of care.

Where’d It Go? lives in your menu bar and stays out of the way until you take a screenshot.

Handwritten captions

Captions are read from each screenshot, on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded.

Copy, Copy Text, Open

Hover a print for Copy, Copy Text, Open, and Show in Finder. No right-click needed.

A camera with personality

Its lens follows your pointer, and each print slides out of the slot with a soft paper hush.

Sweep, then undo

Sweep the pile away with a swish and a poof, and undo if you change your mind. Your files are never touched.

Today in the menu bar

Today’s prints as a contact sheet, grouped into morning, afternoon, and evening.

Respects your setup

Works with any screenshot folder, Reduce Motion, VoiceOver, and launch at login.

Fresh off the press

Fed out like real instant film.

Each print takes about two seconds to leave the slot. It curls out as a flexible sheet that sags under its own weight, then drops flat and starts developing.

Five frames of the cream camera feeding out a print: a thin white edge appears in the slot, then the sheet curls out, sags, and hangs fully out with its dark undeveloped picture.

It watches your pointer.

The menu bar

Today, at a glance.

Click the camera in the menu bar for a contact sheet of today’s prints. Open one with a click or drag it anywhere. Round switches keep the pile on screen, print instantly, copy each shot, tidy the Desktop, and turn sounds on or off.

The menu panel: “6 prints today”, an Evening contact sheet of six mini Polaroids, round switches for On Screen, Instant, Auto Copy, Tidy, and Sounds, and icons for Open Folder, Sweep, Welcome Tour, About, Settings, and Quit.

Install
