How is cash shortage calculated?

Cash + digital + credit receivable + approved expenses + discounts − meter sales. A negative result is shortage; positive is excess.

How do you measure tank volume with a dip rod?

Open the gauge hatch, lower the dip rod until it touches the bottom, then pull it out and read the wet fuel mark in centimeters. That dip reading is matched to your tank calibration chart (supplied with the underground tank) to get stock in liters. Morning and evening dips show opening and closing stock for the day.

Why is fuel density measured at petrol pumps?

Density changes with temperature: warm fuel occupies more volume for the same weight. Standardizing density at 15°C lets you verify tanker invoices, check transit loss after decantation, and compare stock movement without temperature skew.
